Obstacles, agility work, ninja elements and the incorporated gymnastics are a fun way for kids to build confidence, strength and functional movement. The skills learned and conditioning gained will help them to develop as healthy and fit individuals. And if desired carry them into other sports.
Building confidence in their abilities has great benefit to children on an emotional level. Working on developing skills with obstacles help kids develop sportsmanship, teamwork, listening skills, self-discipline and manners. As children become fitter and more physically active they have an increase in confidence and self-esteem.
Fitness as a Lifestyle
It is important to instill fitness as a lifestyle at an early age. Fitness programs should emphasize the FUN aspect of fitness so kids see fitness as something as enjoyable and beneficial. Eating healthy becomes a natural and normal choice and being active becomes something they just do.
A Typical Class
A typical class starts with a fun warm up including calisthenics and stretching, followed by having fun working on movements that help them to improve strength, balance, speed and coordination on the course.
With the kids class we focus more on different obstacle course elements that may include rope climbs, gymnastic rings, working on handstands, floating steps, warp walls and much more.
The Parkour Ninjas Kids classes are for children ages 3yrs - 8yrs.
